Hello, It’s been a while since I’ve been here. And I’ve missed it. I never thought I would like writing let alone miss posting on a blog, but here I am.
If you are wondering what kept me away from this space; I have to admit I too have the same question. There is truly no answer. But here I am. With no recipe to share…
So, I thought to just let you know how things are going in our house during this lockdown. Oh, didn’t I tell you? We are under lockdown for, what seems like a lifetime, but really is three weeks now. And there is no end to it in sight. But what exactly does “under lockdown” means? Well, currently most people are encouraged to work remotely, all brick and mortar shops that don’t sell food are closed, no dine-in is allowed, all schooling is happening online and no social visits are allowed. It’s a charm!
Surprisingly, I don’t feel too deprived or too stressed about it all. I take it one day at a time and try to shift my mindset towards being positive, happy and having fun. Besides, with a toddler waddling all day around me my attitude can change pretty easily.
My days are filled with serving little people, who like to throw their food on the floor, reasoning with said people that have very strong opinions and feelings about almost everything under the sun and doing laundry. You would think that we would use less now that we are at home. That is a wrong assumption.
My days are also loud, creative, mischievous, full of laughter, games and kisses. Sticky kisses! Warm hugs and sleeping angels.
My days are full; of family and love.
Yet, there are times that I struggle.
And that is fine.
